Africa Mobility Services – what we do is in our name. We offer not only the certainty of transferring belongings, but also help you find a new home, conduct a school search and familiarize you with local culture. We can even help organize finances and insurances. All aimed at giving you complete peace of mind and a great start to life in a new environment.
Who we are
Africa Mobility Services (AMS) is actually a network of mobility companies within Africa.
We hold the ISO 9001 for quality management and the ISO 45001 for Health and Safety management. Moreover, we hold the Bronze Status for Sustainability with Eco Vadis. As a member of the International Association of Movers (IAM) and a recognized partner of Harmony Network, amongst others, our partners, customers and colleagues have all their mobility needs in Africa catered for through a single contact source at AMS.
Our philosophy is based on fostering a culture in which our employees and members work with integrity, quality and care to mutually benefit each member’s business so that we can fulfil our mission to give the customer the best service possible at all times.

Our team
Kim is an experienced mobility specialist, having led two major mobility companies in the Southern African region for 15 years. Then joined a global mobility company as Managing Director in India in 2013. Kim gained valuable experience in being an expat, as well as leading a dynamic team.
Kim returned to South Africa in 2016 as CEO of Africa Mobility Services and has built the business into providing moving, DSP and logistics services in Africa.
Paul has been in the moving industry since 2000, where he started his career as an FFE installation manager with the Four Seasons Hotel Group. Paul then became the branch manager in Afghanistan and progressed to the position of Regional Manager Africa for a major moving company in the Middle East and Africa.
Paul is one of the founder shareholders of Africa Mobility Services, joining the company in 2012, where he started the Angolan operation, consequently opening the two Congos. AMS the Congo and the Democratic Republic of Africa.
Paul is a “stickler” for perfection, continuity in service and quality! Paul ensures that AMS exceeds the high-quality standards set by the ISO 9001 certificate, and ISO 45001 Health and Safety certificate requirements.
Paul was also instrumental in helping AMS achieve the Eco Vadis Bronze sustainability certificate.
Nina has filled various financial positions within the moving industry, starting as a financial controller with a major relocation company in South Africa. Has been in the mobility industry for the past 15 years.
Nina joined Africa Mobility Services as the Financial Controller in 2015, concentrating on cashflow, risk, transparency and processes. Nina was appointed as the company CFO in 2019.
Charnel has spent 28 years in the International Moving Industry.
Charnel has managed a number of major projects within the moving industry, one being the South African Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Charnel has fulfilled roles such as International Director, and currently looks after the relationships with the AMS customer base as well as leads the Move Management team for Africa Mobility Services.
Charnel is very well known in the Moving Industry for her articulate and methodical approach to shipping challenges because of her vast shipping experience. Charnel has also travelled extensively throughout the world but particularly in Africa. This has helped her understand and in part, why packing, loading, and shipping can be a huge challenge.
Charnel also possesses broad general management experience including strategic planning, project rollouts, administration functions and operational service delivery.
Charnel is currently on the Core members management board for IAM representing Africa.
Joseph is our Managing Director and entrepreneur; he holds a master’s degree in business administration and has 15 years’ experience as an entrepreneur in bunkering and international logistics.
Joseph joined Africa Mobility Services in 2018 and is responsible for the growth of the three countries under his leadership. Joseph is also a shareholder in the Angola and Congo Company, and speaks English, Portuguese, French and Dutch fluently.
